A HP exigiu retratação. A Sun negou.
"I understand that HP does not want to be portrayed as walking away from their customers on HP-UX or Tru64. However, they also have made commitments to stockholders to consolidate and cut costs. They are currently juggling more Operating Systems than IBM! (HP-UX, Windows, Linux, Tru64, MPE, Non-stop, OpenVMS…) Their sales team has had no problem pushing Lintel solutions – even at the expense of replacing an existing HP 9000 / HP-UX system. They have definitely drawn a line in the sand for their customers on their legacy OS – MPE that was once their flagship OS. Is that enough?"
Sinceramente? Quem ganha com a bagunça do galinheiro é a IBM e alguns (tantos) players Linux.
