Um comentário muito legal d'um tal James Mc (obtido aqui):

It is plain and simple—
US Constitution, Article I, Section 8, Clause 8:
To Promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for Limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries.
Note: It does not say "To Protect Profiteering" nor does it cover "Fundamental Ideas" and especially does not protect the “Rights of Corporations”. Maybe enough of the right people will see that the current “Law and Precedence” of the US Patent Office only “Promotes Litigation” and “Impedes Progress” so is therefore Unconstitutional. Only when these statues are appropriately rewritten can these charades can end, the rights of the individuals be protected and PROGRESS can begin!
The thing that really gets to me is that an IDEA, a constuct of the human imagination know as a "Corporation" can own an "Idea" and have "rights" when the US Constitution only preserves that right or any "right" for Individuals. Corporations have been given all the "Rights" and more. A Guilty and Debt ridden Corporation can just be desolved and recreated under a new name, Why can't I, You or any of us do that?
