Mr Bill "Shit" Gates precisa corrigir o alvo.

what a total (intellectual) disappointment this man is

"If I had the time, and the money, I'd do the deep analysis that it would take to explain to myself why it is I constantly hope to be surprised by Mr. Gates. Yet I never am. Here's BoingBoing reporting the red-baiting of Mr. Gates.

It's one thing to read this sort of thing from a studio exec, or head of a record label -- surrounded as they are by the sort that surround them. But the people I've met at Microsoft are miles beyond this sort of silliness. Does Mr. Gates not even talk to them?"

ou "Mr Bill (Shit) anda muito ocupado"

LAS VEGAS — In a historic moment for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates delivered his annual opening speech last night without the customary PowerPoint slides.

Instead, Gates opted for a talk-show-style presentation featuring actual host Conan O'Brien presenting a mock version of his own show, with Gates as the guest. For about 90 minutes, they gave the latest version of Microsoft's pitch for the "digital lifestyle."

O'Brien teased Gates — and other tech luminaries such as Jeff Bezos and Paul Allen — but the humor wasn't enough to disguise several embarrassing technical glitches that interrupted demonstrations of Windows Media Center software and a new Xbox game.

"OK, and right now nine people are being fired," O'Brien said as he and Gates waited for a slide show to appear.

The slides were of a fictional night of carousing the two had in Las Vegas. "I got too drunk, I woke up with a hooker," O'Brien said. "Bill got too drunk, he woke up with an Apple computer."

De Brier Dudley, do Seattle Times.

Mr Bill (Shit) Gates deveria se preocupar menos com política e mais com a qualidade dos produtos da empresa que comanda. Saca só a vergonha:

Bill Gates showed us today that you can be the richest man in the world and still have things go wrong.

During his seventh annual keynote speech at CES, the Microsoft chairman was happily promoting what he calls the “digital lifestyle” with a soon-to-be-released Nikon camera and a Media Centre PC. As he was doing so, the Windows Media Center PC he was using froze and wouldn't respond to Gates' pushing of the remote control.

Later in the 90-minute presentation, a product manager demonstrated the user-friendliness of a video game expected to hit retail due out later in the year; Forza Motor Sport. But instead of configuring a custom-designed race car, the computer monitor displayed the dreaded "blue screen of death" and warned, "out of system memory."

The errors prompted the celebrity host, America’s NBC comedian Conan O'Brien, to comment, "Who's in charge of Microsoft, anyway?"

Gates, who was sitting next to O'Brien on a set staged to look like NBC's Late Night set, smiled and continued with his discussion.
